9. Scenery

Scenery is my very favorite modeling task. Oh, I very much enjoy building structures, creating animations, and most everything else, but scenery has always really captured my interest above all else. For one thing, it's the glue that binds everything together—the track, the structures, etc. A scene really isn't complete without scenery.

The plan above offers a general idea of the scenic elements on the layout. The grey cross-hatched areas are rock faces; the darker green blob is a meadow; the tan area almost dead center is a campground. Below, I've broken the topic down into sub-categories. Some pages currently only have reference images, as I've not yet gotten into every aspect on the layout.

Micro-Scenes

Some portions of scenery were completed in advance as independent "micro-scenes."
