3.7. Lee Machinery Company
Lee Machinery is perhaps the most freelanced of the buildings on the layout, principally because it had such an odd space to fit. But it did afford the opportunity to make use of a new kit I'd been hankering to build: Walthers' Cornerstone Union Crane and Shovel.
I pretty much built the main structure as per the kit, and simply lopped off the part that went over the edge of the layout.
The addition on one side was cobbled together from heavily-modified parts from Cornerstone Allied Rail Rebuilders. This was by far the most difficult aspect of the bash.
After all of that work, however, I wasn't thrilled by the outcome. I'd probably rip off the addition and just go with a simple fenced in storage area full of rusty junk.
