2.7. Plate Girder Bridge

There aren't many good clear shots of John Allen's plate girder bridge, at least from the era of the original layout. But one can gather that it's pretty generic, distinguished only by the G&D herald.

I made mine by chopping up the sides of a Micro-Trains bridge: first, I sliced through the inner ribs with a razor saw, then clipped off the mounting studs with a flush cutters.

Then I bonded the sides to a section of Rokuhan track, using a piece of ribbed sheet styrene on the underside.

I made shoes from styrene H-beam stock, and printed tiny G&D heralds.
