Animation: Excavator
One of my most popular animated effects from the White River & Northern IV, the excavator was my greatest achievements. Sadly the mechanism got worn out from so much use, so I'll need to make a new one. But the advantage of doing something twice is that you can avoid many of your mistakes, so the new one ought to be more robust. I'm using it under the same circumstances as I had for the WR&N: solving the age-old problem of stationary vehicles on a highway. I was perpetually looking for ways to justify having all of the cars parked, so I invented a road construction scene. This one will be located near the Route 202 bridge over the Delaware River.
