Mobil Station
There's no Mobil station in Lambertville. There's a Sunoco, an Exxon, and a Gasco. Two of the three stations are modern and boring; the third is an ancient tiny thing I'd love to have modeled.
My Mobil station will serve as a proxy for any of them. Its location next to the Acme Market seems appropriately retro.
The Model
There's only one reason this model appears on the layout: as a way to put an animated project right up front. This is a second-generation version of a model that appeared on the White River & Northern IV. Unfortunately, it was well back from the edge of the layout, and hence difficult to see; I've corrected this problem for the BR&W.
That said, I may swap it with the Gulf Station from Flemington.
