Neon Beer Sign
There's not much here to see except an old flickering neon beer sign in a bar on my old White River & Northern IV. But... sometimes the most mundane details are the most effective. This sign could easily be made today with a flickering LED. Back in the late 1990s, when I built this, such things didn't exist. To make this sign flicker, I connected the power supply to a pair of wipers that ran against a motor shaft running a nearby animation effect; dirt and whatnot made for a dicey connection, which perfectly created the illusion.
