Turbine Vents
First Generation
Originally featured on a small Quonset hut on the White River & Northern IV, the effect was simple: Dremel ball grinders mounted to gears driven by a low-RPM motor. That's it.

Second Generation
Created on 30 April 2020, the new mechanism had four vents, which meant a lot more gears. The gearing makes some vents spin a little faster than others.

On 27 May 2020 I installed the vents in a building planned to be a brewery at the time, which would have different vents. However, when I held the mechanism up next to the brewery and saw how it fit perfectly—as if I'd made them for the building—I invoked rule #1 and installed the vents straight away.
The project was fully finished when I painted and weathered the vents on 1 October 2020. Then the building migrated as is over to the White River & Northern X. Currently it's in storage.
