Rotating Police Car Light
I've created modern police cars, but no period ones. I was looking forward to challenging myself with creating a convincing "bubblegum machine." I started by building a mechanism to make the spinning light:

After I completed the mechanism, I installed it in the car—or, more precisely, I assembled the car around the mechanism.

I was (gently) admonished for making a European-style light. But it was impractical to add a second LED, because there was only room in the dome for one 0402 LED, which is all I had. So, I finally bit the bullet and ordered 0201 red LEDs from Germany so I could fix my faux pas.
