Episode 8: Nothing to Report
SYNOPSISThe good news is that Dicker succeeded in reviving Azin. The bad news is that Dicker succeeded in reviving Azin. That internal conflict threatens to plunge him into a deeply depressed state from which he might never return. COMMENTARYHere is the episode based on my original premise for the show: a series of log entries that exploit the "is it real or a TV show" quandary to the hilt. Unfortunately I don't think it works very well, and consequently it's among my least favorite episodes. The premise is weak, the narrative is scattershot, the jokes lame. If I had the chance to do it over, it would be markedly different. Probably the biggest shortcoming is that it's all talking heads. For this to work, the writing has to be really sharp and snappy. Which it ain't. Oh well, not every episode will be a winner. PREV < HOME > NEXTCopyright © 2024-2025 by David K. Smith. All Rights Reserved |
