SYNOPSIS
Dicker learns the truth about his dead wife, courtesy of the Clobbernauts.
DIRECTOR COMMENTARY
Sensing a need for at least some humor, I created a new race of aliens, the Cranialnauts, who use the Clobbernauts as slave labor. Thus I solved a problem I'd created for myself when I first introduced the Clobbers in "So What, Big Deal." Specifically, how did these Yeti-like creatures master such technology as starships?
These little three-eyed, two-mouthed cretins are literally strapped to Clobbers, much like babies in harnesses. And their speech is utterly over-the-top. They were a lot of fun to develop.
The end was influenced by the Trek episode "Methuselah Syndrome" wherein Spock relieves the captain of his heartache.
