Ric Mac at Attenborough's Fields
Ric writes, "No attempt at photographic creativity, here, just documentary pictures of an afternoon's stroll (and yes, they're all cell phone efforts!)..."
Ric writes, "This Italianate pile overlooks Attenborough’s Fields. Known as Haydon House, it is a Grade II listed building and it's situated just uphill from my son's former primary school. It was designed in the villa style by one Decimus Burton for a Thomas Fonnereau, and constructed around 1840. It became the home of the Attenborough family later in the 19th Century (hence the naming of the adjoining green space), and was ultimately converted into self-contained apartments in the late 1980s."
