Wildlife at the Sanctuary: Eastern Chipmunk

Chipmunks are my very favorite wild resident at the property. They're the very definition of the word "cute."

Here, a squirrel photo-bombs my shot of a chipmunk.

A neighbor told me that inkberries are poisonous. They didn't seem to bother the chipmunks.

It's a good thing they're fast and well-camouflaged, because there are a lot of predators around, including Red Fox and Cooper's Hawks.
