Tool Trailer

Although I primarily used just two battery-powered tools, building a house still requires a lot of other tools, both hand and powered. In anticipation of needing a place to store them, I purchased a little tool trailer shortly before I began construction. Yes, I could have bought, rented or built a little shed for much less money, but I also wanted to be able to take my tools on the road to help others—which I did. Besides, I figured I could just resell it when I was done with it. As it happened, my helper bought it in November 2018.

I'd outfitted the trailer with cabinets, hangers and a fire extinguisher, and upgraded all of the lights to LEDs. In the end, it turned out to be a good investment that will serve its new owner just as well.

On 25 June 2020, the tool trailer was removed from the side yard and parked next to the camper in the driveway, thus revealing ground that hadn't seen sunlight since 2013.
