Birds of the Sanctuary: Blue JayThis loud, gregarious bird is common throughout North America. I've seen upwards of a dozen of them. Jays tend to be ground feeders, preferring striped sunflower seeds and dried corn, although they'll occasionally attempt to grab seeds from feeders meant for small birds, usually with comical results. Juvenile Blue Jays are remarkably different from adults, being entirely monochromatic. Black-Capped Chickadee < Return > Brown CreeperCopyright © 2017-2022 by David K. Smith. All Rights Reserved.
