Birds of the Sanctuary: White-Breasted Nuthatch
A little larger than Titmice, Nuthatches are a great deal of fun to watch as they navigate feeders just as they do tree trunks: upside down. I have a fair number of them as year-round residents. While they like black oil sunflower seeds, they're especially fond of peanuts and dried mealworms.
