Grump Central Archive: Week of 28 January 2018

Saturday, 3 February 2018

Another weekend. They seem to be flying at me faster than I can count. I don't know if this is a good thing or not.

Friday, 2 February 2018

Sleepless night. Listened to the rain on the roof all night long. If you bet on radio silence, you're a winner. So, now I'm thinking about shopping for a new lawyer. Meanwhile, we're headed back into the freezer tonight, with a predicted low in the teens.

Thursday, 1 February 2018

Time to shake things up. Today I emailed my lawyer asking him to cancel the contract. Will he even do it, and what will the buyer do in response? Place your bets. Scary times ahead.

Day three of ignoring the world. I awoke to an eerie light: a "super blue blood moon." The snow is all gone, but not the cold, with 15 for the low last night. More rain/snow is due tomorrow. Oh, joy.

Tuesday, 30 January 2018

Day two of ignoring the world began with a dusting of snow, just to remind everyone that winter is far from over. With more white also comes more cold, with a predicted low in the teens. I'm keeping myself distracted with modeling.

Monday, 29 January 2018

The "new" deadline arrives in just two more days. I have very strong doubts that anything substantive will happen this week—if anything even happens at all. I do not care. I'm burned out. I'm just going to disappear inside myself and ignore the world.

Sunday, 28 January 2018

The week begins with rain, which is expected to continue through Monday and change to snow by Tuesday. It would seem my threat to cancel the contract has not spurred any action, so it remains to be seen what the new week will bring—other than more anxiety.
