I understand that when the calendar flips from 2020 to 2021 in three days, nothing magical will happen; last year will blend seamlessly into the next, with no sudden changes. However, it's somewhat cathartic to think of kissing all of the crap we endured in 2020 goodbye, and looking forward to an improved outlook. Granted, I probably won't get to enjoy much of it, but I'll take what I can get, to paraphrase Randy Bachman.
