Grump Central Archive: Week of 16 May 2021

Things looked quite different five years ago. Yesterday I took a medication holiday. I needed to see how much my dizziness, brain fog and lack of appetite were drug-related or heart related. By the end of the day I was feeling better than I had in many months. It made me want to stay off the meds; but I resumed my regimen the next day so that it didn't mess things up for the cardiologist.

Finally installed the dishwasher—I was motivated by the fact that, should there be a problem with the unit, my return window is closing. I did it first thing yesterday morning before taking my AM meds, as they make me loopy as all. However, I won't be able to use my new appliance because I must wait for the delivery of a pipe fitting that Whirlpool is too cheap to include. Explain to me why they leave out a $5 fitting (retail, I'm sure they could get them for less than a buck) that's universally required. I mean, come on, what's the point in forcing the customer to buy one?

One of the reasons I bought this property: seemingly endless acres of fern.
