This weekend and next will both be heavily social, as I'll be hosting two gatherings of friends from two different circles. Although lately I've been strongly inclined to cancel both, I fought that urge and stuck with the original plans, as I knew ultimately it would be beneficial for me to participate.

This afternoon I'm supposed to receive the glass shelves I ordered for my DIY medicine cabinet. I'm looking forward to the distraction of finishing it, as I'm otherwise not especially motivated to do much of anything else. Strange to think that, one year ago today, I was getting electric service installed. Now it just feels as though I've always had it, when in fact I'd lived off-grid for five years.

My car's been parked outside for the past few weeks while the garage is worked on. It may return inside later this week, assuming I can bring myself to get anything done.

Sarcoidosis has reared its ugly head again—not surprising, as it's often triggered by stress, and I've a surfeit of that these days. Now I sound like I either have a deadly flu, or that I'm a ten-pack-a-day smoker. It's difficult convincing others that I'm not contagious, so I just stay hidden away in my woodland sanctuary. And I'm still seized up by depression, a.k.a. the "black dog," as a friend recently put it, just barely able to function. Incidentally, for something to do, I shot these panoramas over the weekend; the second one was taken through the windows. Click for enlargements.

Did something today that I haven't done in many a moon: catch the sunrise. Predictions for the weather have been wildly off the past couple of weeks, what with calls for rain almost every day, and most days being glorious.
