It did indeed hit 85° by the afternoon yesterday, but despite having all of the windows open, inside it remained a comfortable 74°. Roy and Zack have been forsaking the clubhouse in favor of the tree—yet still cuddling, just like yesterday—while Pris has pretty much claimed the clubhouse as her own.

Recently a visitor asked if I was inspired by the Grand Gallery of the Great Pyramid in my design for the main hallway. I confess I was not, but I can see the resemblance. Perhaps I should rename it from The Canyon to The Grand Gallery? Sounds like an idea...

In 2017, I took exactly one photograph during the month of May. Construction had come to a halt, and nature was taking over. Oh, and last night it nearly hit freezing, while next weekend it may reach the 80s. So much for temperate weather—we live in the era of extremes. Don't put any clothes away!

Four years ago today, I hadn't even started work on the living level yet—I was still building the middle level. Yeah, the middle level... more than half of which is now being used for storage instead of its intended purpose: modeling. No sense in finishing the room the way I'd planned; if I even bother to finish it, first I'll move the outlets down to normal height, then remove the plumbing fixtures, and then make the lighting more conventional. Someone else will likely want to use it as a bedroom...
