Halfway through September, I feel as if I've barely made any progress since the nightmare ended six weeks ago. There have been a few positive signs, but not the big burst of activity one might have expected. More evidence of how indifferent I've become about the project.

Hit and run: JCP&L changes the rules of the game for electrical service, then their rep drops off the face of the earth. I think he's joined my architect. Good thing I don't own a firearm, as I've just about had it.

A big wrench has been tossed into the electrical service project already: JCP&L has changed the specs for the material to use. Meanwhile, I desperately need new blueprints for the house revisions, and my architect is AWOL...

If all goes well, today I'll be able to start work on getting permanent electric service. I just wish I was excited about it.

The rain continues, exacerbating my despondent mood as progress with the house feels like wading through hip-deep mud. And now hurricane Florence is bearing down on the east coast...

Until I have inspections, there's very little left that I can do on the house, so once again I'm at a standstill until the logjam clears. And a rainy weekend curtailed any outdoor activities.
