Knock me over with a feather: JCP&L has approved my plan for the service line. As soon as I receive the permit (which should be Tuesday), I can set things in motion.

It pays to rattle cages. Met with my electrician yesterday, and meeting with JCP&L later today. It will be very interesting to see if JCP&L agrees with my proposal for getting permanent service. I've also requested another window quote.

With a predicted high in the low 90s, today will be a day spent in hiding. I was supposed to hear from JCP&L by now to arrange an engineering review, but not surprisingly there's been no communication. Time to rattle their cage.

Progress is disappointingly slow, partly due to the weather, partly due to my health, partly due to volunteer work, and partly due to inexplicable depression. My enthusiasm for the project is at an all-time low: alarmingly, at the moment, I don't care if it's ever finished.

Monday, 3 September 2018

With another heat wave on the way, I'm bracing myself for another not-so-productive week.

Sunday, 2 September 2018

Saturday was beautiful: mid-70s and, contrary to the forecast, no rain, with a delightful light breeze. Consequently I got a fair amount done. Today I've been called in to do volunteer work, so other kinds of things will be accomplished.
