Fire and Shadow
"They should not exist." That what a dying old man insists. That's what he keeps telling himself as he builds a fire each evening to warm his aching bones. And yet there they are, every evening: his two closest friends, the spirits of Fire ad Shadow.
How
did these come to be? I'd wanted an outlet for some of my thoughts as I faced my mortality. When I
came upon a series of license-free photographs, I saw an opportunity to do some simple image
manipulation to tell some stories. I felt that something photo real might be taken more seriously
than my cartoons.
Although there is a possibility, slim though it may be, of making more, these episodes are likely all that I'll ever make.
