Welcome, Dicks!

Dicks Retirement Trailer Park is an exceedingly quirky animated series about a tiny retirement trailer park community. Conceived in 2023, it utilizes a primitive animation style to tell brief (only one minute) little stories about the members of the park. 150 episodes were planned, and 140 were produced. Whether or not I get to the remaining episodes remains to be seen, especially as that work is competing with several other projects.

I have a strange fondness for the series, and by time I was into the 14th season, I had refined the animation considerably. And when I looked back on the earliest seasons, I cringed. So I embarked on a challenge to re-master every episode, and combine them into more-satisfying ten-minute episodes. Consequently, I believe the best way to appreciate the series is to start with the remastered versions, which at this writing comprises three volumes, then continue there on with the original one-minute episodes, until such time as I complete the remastering project—if I live long enough. Seriously. Watching the remasters first also gives you a chance to decide if you want to keep going—skip down to Season 4 or 5 if you do.

Be aware that lots of strangeness lies ahead, including cosmic tours, alien invasions, battles with local authorities over road widening projects, killer tornadoes, you name it. It may seem like a comic series, but in truth it's more of a dramedy. Well, I'll shut up now so you can go have some fun!
