Company Profile: International Models Inc.

History in a Nutshell

There's virtually no information to be found on International Models Inc. of New York City, other than that they sold model locomotives, cars and kits, and imported O and HO Scale brass from Japan. They also sold model boat outboard motors. Some of their items were branded International Model Product, or International Model Products, or IMP. Based on their advertising, it would seem they were in business from the late 1940s to the mid-1960s.

IMI imported "Treble-0-Lectric" from Lone Star.

Printed Matter

International Models did quite a bit of advertising in magazines such as Model Railroader, although they seemed to favor Railroad Model Craftsman for the Treble-0 product line.
