Blog Archive: Week of 22 March 2020Saturday, 28 March 2020It's a shame human children aren't as well-behaved as fox pups. Mom can saunter off to fetch some lunch, and leave her kids on their own; they'll hang around the den and play, never wandering off any further than about ten feet. Of course, with between four and six hawks almost constantly circling overhead, they'd better stick close to home! Friday, 27 March 2020Fox-watching was back in full swing yesterday, although the pups are getting harder to photograph—they're constantly moving. Mom, however, always has her eye on me... always. Meanwhile, the forecast is gloomy, with rain predicted for the next 3-4 days, and regrettably that'll likely keep the pups "indoors." Thursday, 26 March 2020Strange. Did not see the fox family all day yesterday. Wednesday, 25 March 2020Oh, happy day! The house has now become Fox Pup Watching Central, as the pair living under the stump at the bottom of the ravine have been very busy indeed: above you can see five of their six pups! Mom works overtime keeping all of her kids fed and safe, and she looks a little bedraggled. Tuesday, 24 March 2020Rained all day yesterday. I kind of feel like the view—grey and lifeless. Monday, 23 March 2020I know it's only been a couple of days, but I can't say I'm feeling any better. Light-headed at times; briefly got the shakes, like I'd had four cups of coffee. Otherwise, the same as before. I'll just have to be patient. Sunday, 22 March 2020Right off the bat this new med sure takes me for a ride—at times I'm so lightheaded it's all I can do to stand up. I'm assuming there will be a period of "adjustment," so I'm not throwing in the towel just yet. Oh, did I mention this stuff is $10 per pill, and I take two per day?
