The "sunset notch" continues to grow—now it's roughly three times the size it was when I first noticed it—and yesterday's sunset made it appear the woods were being burned down. Worse, I'm seeing vehicle headlights roaming around the woods after dark. See the Friday, 5 March post for why this is all so distressing.

What a day yesterday, And wouldn't you know it, I spent maybe five minutes outside. I was simply not in the emotional space to enjoy it.

Bring on the warm! I'm nearly crippled by depression, and maybe this will help snap me out of it.

Today is supposed to be a carbon copy of yesterday, with a high of around 62. It was glorious being outside for a change. Looking forward to more of the same. And tomorrow? A high of 72! I may actually try to clean the gutters myself.

Three years ago today, a nor'easter damaged many trees and crushed dozens of my mountain laurel bushes. By contrast, today it's supposed to hit 60, and Thursday's predicted high is 70.

It's supposed to get quite chilly tonight, so I guess I'll be cutting firewood today.
