2011, Virgin et al

Although the premise is not as original as some have made it out to be, this take on the 10% brain myth is reasonably engaging, and is more thriller than science fiction. The film did have a strange side effect on me personally: I used to run a business called NZT Products, making model train accessories. I'd founded the company just prior to the film's release, so the name was coincidental. But after the film hit the theaters, I began receiving endless requests for the drug from people who evidently didn't get that NZT-48 was fictional. You'd be amazed (or maybe not) how many people thought it was real. Even though I closed the business four years ago, I still receive the occasional request.
