Jodorowsky's Dune

2013, City Film et al

The production of Dune was a long, torturous affair, and the most intriguing aspect is the film that might have been: French director Alejandro Jodorowsky. While it departed significantly from Frank Herbert's novel, it evidently had Herbert's blessing. The result, had it been produced, should have been a seriously trippy light show. Some of the highlights (for sci-fi junkies like me) include interviews with such legends as H.R. Giger and Chris Foss.
